Transfer Window Round Up

With the transfer window finally closing for the season on Monday 2nd February at 7pm Gibraltar United can be happy to say that is has conducted very shrewd and clever business.


Carl Ramagge
Asked for a release early in October to focus more on his hockey career. Since then has signed for Olmypique 13 but remains a supporter of the club.

Colin Dyer
Released in mid January.

Dean Debono
Asked for a release in October to focus on playing FUTSAL for Leo FC.

Michael Macias
Released in early January to focus on his burgeoning career as a FUTSAL referee. We wish Michael all the best.

Max Pizarro
Released in early January as he is spending 9 months travelling South East Asia. Enjoy it Max!

Kenneth Chipolina
Transferred to Lincoln FC as part of the deal that brought Mark Casciaro to Gib Utd.

Johann Valverde
Released in early January. Johann is preparing to represent Gibraltar at tennis at the forthcoming Island Games.

Karl Eagle
Released in early January.


David Gallardo
Signed on a free after getting a release from Gibraltar Phoenix in early November. A strong, pacy winger that has created a fair number of goals for his team mates.

Shane Howe
Former Mons Calpe striker signed in early November as a free agent. Powerful center forward that has had the enviable task of filling in Lee Muscat’s boots. He has 5 goals to his name so far.

Lee Buhagiar
Signed as a free agent in early January but a regular for St Joseph’s FUTSAL team. Powerful, vocal and strong left footed defender that is at home at center half of full back. A solid replacement for Kenneth Chipolina.

Mark Casciaro
Transfer from Lincoln FC as part of the Kenneth Chipolina deal. Mark has won it all in the local football scene and he brings class, poise and elegance to our midfield. Plenty of Premier League experience to pass on.

Evan Coleing
Transfer from the Red Imps in mid January. Young, left footed midfielder adept either on the wing or down the middle. He shows class and vision in his play and is certainly the young local talent we wish to see in our ranks.

Aziz Aitlachen
Transfer from Lynx FC in late January. Aziz is a former Gibraltar United player coming back home after a successful stint at Premier League side Lynx. A solid, effective and classy central midfielder his Premier League experience sure to play a key role in the second half of the season.

Kaylan Muscat
Former Mons Calpe engine man. Signed in late January. Kaylan was a very important part of the Mons Calpe side that finished second last season and we look forward to seeing what he can bring to the team.
